So instead of the Gretsch I traded for this tele plus $1000 and a cat. Just kidding I already had the cat.

Ooh very nice - I saw this over at HCEFX, but was waiting for you to post your news here. That's the tele I've always hankered after (and you've got a nice light one too); played one recently, though, and the neck wasn't as HUGE as I'd like. Very nice though.

Thanks! This one is really nice. I couldn't believe how light it was when I picked it up. This guitar must have been in closet for the past 9 years. I don't think it has been played much at all. It's great to find a used one with all the case candy, hang tabs and COA.

I wasn't asking because I thought it was a daft decision or anything... just curious, is all.

He'll probably sell it on in a week or two anyway!

I like that you wheel and deal these in and out of your life westtexasred... if only for selfish reasons, I enjoy the guitar porn. So I say "g'wan you mad ting".

I always thought the ideal setup was a Les Paul and a Tele... specifcally a '56 Gibson Les Paul and a '52 Telecaster.

When I see your tele and lester side by side it makes my hear melt a little.

It is a thing of beauty, ain't it?

it is very nice and I know if I had the means (I don't mean cash, I mean access to such great guitars) then I might be tempted to do likewise until I hit upon the keepers.

westex is one of the only reasons i still come to this forum. He keeps it real with the vintage/vintage flavored pauls and teles. Plus he makes me feel better about my GAS

nothing wrong with being assertive about what you like/dislike... the fact that go thru so much means your meticously (fogive my sp).

This thread reminds me very much of the kind of crap guys give the dude who keeps hooking up with a succession of hot chicks.

Tex... it's time you met a nice Gretsch who can cook and clean... someone with a nice personality.
