EKO Ranger 12-string

We've been given a 12 string Ranger without tuners. It's battered to fuck, as usual for EKO acoustics, but that good old EKO build quality appears to have won through as usual and it feels sturdy as fuck.

The tuner holes seem to measure 25mm between them and the bushings are still stuck in there, the holes measure 9mm from the back of the headstock, so it's a case of getting some decent tuners and bridge pins to bring it back to life. I was wondering if these would work:

As I think it would be pretty funny to have vintage Fender style tuners on an acoustic, but they only come right-handed; I assume I just flip the second one upside down for the left side?

There's also these, a cheaper alternative for both strips, left and right, but they have no mention of the mounting holes required so I'll have to email about that:

Sounds like the old Alverez 12-string I acquired. I had to whittle it a new saddle, get string pegs, and pared it down to a 6-string, as I didn't get new tuners and a couple were missing machines. Sounds surprisingly good though.

Yeah, I think that should work... mind you, your tuning machines would be staggered on either side of the headstock; might look a little funny, or it might look cool.

Hmm, if there's no left-handed tuners, then what does Fender use on lefty Strats & Teles I wonder?

Candy buttons. You would never know unless you picked one up.

I was talking about actual availability, not suggesting they didn't exist at all, anywhere, ever.

I'm sort of concentrating on my teardrop for now, and the busted-up rust-strat a friend gave me to "fix". I'm sure I'll get round to the EKO in a few weeks or so.

You can buy NOS Eko tuners from Brandoni (google them) or PGP. Not cheap, but ones that fit are pretty hard to come by.

Alternatively, look out for a damaged E-Ros XII or Eko to use as a donor (that's what I did on my last one).

Believe it or not, so was I. Guess my sense of humor doesn't always translate. In the first link you posted, EBAY LINK, Set No9, says it is a Wilkinson mini 3 on a side- 3 left and 3 right. Wouldn't two No9 sets get you exactly what you need, 6 left & 6 right?

Possibly, but the point of looking at strip-mounted tuners is that they would probably fit best. If I'm going to go individual tuners then I wouldn't go for the number 9s as they look like they'd take a rather large amount of space, space that isn't available on the headstock, I'd be better off going with smaller tuners of some kind.
