Gah, that telecaster is 100% perfect. The finish, the neck... I love it!

So what if you move through gear? Variety is the spice of life!

Thanks Sparky! This tele is really something special. I really lucked out on this one. It is unusual to find an '52 Tele AVRI that weighs 6.2 lbs even most Custom Shop teles weigh more.

to be 100% honest, I've never been a huge fan of those guitars.

everyone I've played the neck felt sticky to me. I also am not a fan of the pickups. I'd rather have the classic vibe pickups. Butttt, they do look good. I've rarely seen a tele I don't like the looks of.

Wow! Which one? I know that they did a reissues of both his #1 and #2.How much are they asking? Those are are great guitars and I think that both were very limited productions. Both are very desirable guitars. Have you played it? I read that the neck on the #1 is really are unique: thick at the nut and heal but super thin in the middle.

My Les Paul is an R9 made in '96. It's old and a little beat up but I love it.I don't even mind that someone changed the tuners to Grovers. They work great and it makes it look like Mike Bloomfield's burst.It is the guitar I play the most.

avri 52s are beautifull guitars. hard to imagine sometimes that the fender nocatser CS even sounds better, atleast thats what they have told me and one good reason to never pick up a nocaster cs in the guitar store, dont want to feel bad with my avri :)

here is mine, player through a fender deluxe reverb, it sounds beautifull, near perfect to me atleast

Nah the owner never did the wiring mod, just took off the cover, added grovers, and made some knocks (stupid idea) on the lower horn to make it look like pages #1. The top on it looks strikingly similar to pages #1 reissues. Your lp has some crazy ass flame on it. The guys over at mylespaul must love it!

On a side note....wes when you sell your guitars how do you do it? Do you trade them in at a store and lose money? Do you use ebay?

Naah not really, it looks cool :) but i bothers me while playing

but what I do is just plug in the guitar in the FDDR, no pedals or whatsoever and play... thats the sound I like, and the tele with the DR is a perfect match (or any other fender tube amp)

I like this;

That is one cool assed guitar.
Though I'm not comvinced it should ever have been made like that, with that 3-piece top.
It adds character though, kinda like a facial scar...

That guitar was cursed because it had been kept in a basement for 30 years and got this horrible mildew smell that I couldn't get rid of. That's why I sold it.

Still it was a cool guitar. It came from the same batch as one of Pete's guitars
