It's going to be a completely different story for an electric. The material plays a part in the generation of an acoustic's sound. The best you can say in the case of an electric is the sympathetic vibration of the hardware is going to be slightly than if the same stuff were attached to wood. I don't believe it makes any appreciable difference to the sound, perhaps a very small one.

It was that bunch that told me that because I swore in one of my demo videos that their daughter (who overheard this lawyer weekend warrior watching youtube videos on his sodding Macbook at the breakfast table) was going to drop out of college and become a maid or something.

They're a weird bunch, them Tele pickers.

From an engineering standpoint, that TDPRI build is massively brilliant. I think it's way over the top for a musical instrument build, but some dudes find way more joy in building than actually playing. As a man who makes a living on insanely precision work, I have a crazy amount of respect for the effort involved here, but I'm about another twenty years off from even beginning to imagine having the time or patience for shit like this.

And yeah, total dad humor—but I imagine the median age is around thirty years higher than here. There's definitely fewer "SRY BOUT DRUNK POSTS LAST NITE", and more "Sorry about the sporadic posts gents, but the Metamucil was quite thorough last eve."

That is amazing. I want one. There aren't many guitars left that I really want, but that's properly got me wanting one to see what it's like.
