Which do you think looks better: Pickguard on or off?

I took it off to make it look like one of Kossoffs Bursts.

It really depends on the finish and other hardware. Looks good both ways, really.

Don't really mind, if the guitar already had one on I probably wouldn't bother taking it off, nor would I fit one if it didn't have one.

After all it is only a piece of plastic.

Was the right call, I think.
No guard works better with solid finished, imo. Need something to break up the flames :P

yeah, they look better with them on I think. I just think it looks more classic. with it off it looks more "modern".... like this for example:
