1964 Fender Princeton Guts

Post by mellowlogic »

Hi all.

I just took my amp in for some general maintenance; re-tube, cap-job, etc. He's also installing a grounded power cable for me. I also ordered a speaker from weber to replace the piece of crap generic replacement speaker that's in there now. Anyway, I figured I'd post the gut shots he sent me in case anyone is interested.

Thanks. I ended up going with the vintage series 10F150T. 8 ohm, 25 watts, with light dope. The speaker that's in there now has NO markings on it whatsoever, I figure it's gotta be from radioshack or something. Also, it has some holes torn in the cone, and some fool tried to repair it with elmer's glitter glue or something. Yeah, green sparkles, the kind of stuff people's kids probably play with. The more i find out about this amp, the more it seems that the og owner was a real asshole. I also have the original speaker, but the cone is totally shredded, so I'll need to get that re-coned at some point down the road.
