Some of you may recall my thread on a heavily modified and battered 1977 Fender Musicmaster. Well after 2 months work the restoration is finally complete
Before:
here is my original Mockup:
The additions that i have made include as many period correct parts as i could get.
-70s Fender Mustang Pickguard
-70s Fender hole-less pickup cover
-70s Fender Bronco Knobs
-Fender Custom 69 Abigail Ybarra bridge pickup(new)
-Fender Mustang plate(new)
Everything else on the guitar was original.
And here she is now

Awesome work. I am really jealous of the numbered bronco knobs. Those are like gold and hard to find.

They popped up on ebay in the uk
only bidder on one got it for £1
then the seller messaged me saying he had another one but he wanted £3
more then worth it.

I think a 3-way on the lower horn and lose them switches would have made it better but that great

it's a shame you told me you'd sell me the pots, and then didn't... and then made a new thread when there was one already from before...
but what a nice guitar. the weird upper horn is definitely more noticeable with the new guard. great job.
needs mustang knobs.

Thanks for all the kind words folks it certainly has been a worthwhile project
it plays and sounds really good and the Fender 69 is a great match for the original pickup
also if you look real close you may see that the pickguard is a nicely faded pearloid

i didnt let it harden as long as it should so its still a little soft
so it dints and wears dead easy
