Is this from your Gibson? The wiring inside my '01 SG standard is terrible too! I had to clean out a crap ton of sawdust, and there is WAY too much solder everywhere, and ends of wires sticking out past the globs of solder! I opened it up because the bridge pup volume pot started getting scratchy when turned all the way up, and that's when I noticed how bad it was. I need to order some new pots and I'm going to rewire it completely.

Apparently the bumblebees inside the vos models arent 100% accurate anyways. Besides, i dont really like the linear tone controls.

I have audio taper tone controls in my guitar now.

I think those Bumble Bees that were in my guitar might actually be real ones.Turns out that the guy who used to own this guitar is a well known local musician as well as a recording and live audio engineer/consultant. He has been in the business since the mid 60s. I didn't know until I saw his name scratched into the back of the control plate. It is possible he might have had some old caps that he put in this guitar to replace the ceramic discs it came with.

He he also owns some killer guitars including one or 2 vintage goldtops.
