Trade it to Cooterfinger and I am sure he build you something nice. He is our resident Shortscale student body dealer these days.
Cooterfinger, you're needed in this Project thread, Stat!!

Hello Stewart and all.
It's been 2 years, and I still haven't finished working on my three-board Duo Sonic. It had to be boxed, because I moved to a different country. But recently I've wanted to take it out and finally finish it off.
Since I first posted, 2 years ago, I finished sanding, sealing, and lacquering the thing. (Turned out pretty nice, I must say.) I bought the electronics, and they're attached to the pickguard, or control plate, and ready to go. That's about how far I got before it was boxed up last year.
It seems I gave up on the tremolo idea, because I recently went out and bought ferrules, which I was going to use with the Jazzmaster bridge. But then I thought, for the heck of it, I'll go back to shortscale.org and see if anyone else happened to post. Lo and behold, some did, last month. Then I saw those cool videos on Youtube of the Bigsby attached to a recent desert sand model. (sigh), and now I'm back to considering it again. (sigh)
And Stewart, you were definitely not a moany bastard. You gave your opinion, but still seemed open to the mod. And heck, you even posted a picture of a guitar with a very similar mod. (I tried to contact that Rochelle person to see how it works for her, but she never returned my email.)
Anyway, the Gotoh vintage tuners are on, the finish is more than dried, I recently cleaned and oiled the fretboard, now attached. And (sigh, sigh), I'm STILL back to this square one decision. Which turned out to be the final one.
Nobody ever accused me of finishing a project too quickly.
(I think I've even bought a Fender or two since I started this thing.)
