Decided To Mod My Ultracure

I was looking for threads on throwing a Bigsby on an Ultracure . Nothing .

So I did it . Love it and with flatwounds it's just better. I love this axe... Personally I think the Bigsby should of been standard but my name is not Robert Smith....

The Bigsby looks great on there. I've always loved look of those guitars but never had a chance to play one. How are they? And are they as huge as they look in pics?

Half of the triumph of having a B5 is the immediate access to le wang, stability of a TOM is another plus. Looks like a lot of fun.

Although you may want to add a roller bridge or all your strings will break.

That ultra looks tough as shit.

No kidding on strings? I just got my Bigs to work on a wiet falcon. Good thing I had a junkyard of Gretsch bridges lying around. It's missing a weirdo piece, so the action is too high. I think I have it licked. I am using an aluminum setup to get it low enough, but considered a roller.

Very practical and awesome mod. Looks like its supposed to be there and helps it from looking like the massive body is swallowing the hardware.
