Rogue used to sell very similar looking/priced wahs under wv-201 and wp-101. They no longer do as far as I know.

This thread reminded me I still need to get an Ibanez WH10V2.

Odds are it's just a Crybaby clone. You should just buy a used Crybaby then.

The Daphon one is cheap enough to try it out though. Buy it, open it up and take pictures, post them here so we can look inside to see what it is in there.

wah is wah.

you can't get a used Cry baby for as cheap as this Daphon. its more like $25 actually.

I'play alot of synth, sequence sample workstaion music. i've been laying a track down with lead distorted guitar, with a wah+distortion+reverb. it sounds unreal. i'm hoping to able to transpose the bass and drums into live, with the leads being played through a wah, distortion pedal and fender reverb. it think this could be the way to go. bottom of the line usually has charm.

Hmmm... I disagree.
Using a cheaply made wah is not like using a cheaply made dirtbox or whatever effect you step on/step off of.
A wah's functionality directly depends on the quality of it's design and craftsmanship on a mechanical level.
Buy a crummy, poorly designed unit and you'll curse it forever. Drop the extra $25 it would take to get into used Crybaby/Vox/Morley territory, I say.
At least this way, you're not throwing the first $25 straight out the window.

Edit: I'm not saying that's the case with the Daphon, seeing as I have 0 experience with that model but I have bought cheap wahs before (Behringer Hellbabe, Danelectro... something or another) and I've regretted it, wasted my money AND ultimately ended up buying a Vox.

but wah is an effect. its not like its a guitar, and the wood adds the tone to it mostly. people should'nt be picky when it comes to little things.

the thing is i don't play leads. but i'll guess i'll buy this, and see how it works out. 8)

Wah is an effect that relies on a pot or optical sensor being actuated by a lever, over and over again. Regardless if how good/bad it may sound, if it is poorly designed or manufactured, it will suck.

Design has everything to do with something like a wah. They're not set and forget pedals, the moving components are under constant strain of use and and cheaply made portions will wear and give out quickly. A single cheaply manufactured plastic nut will take down the entire device.

I'm used to the keyboard wah. try and convince me to go crybaby. i dare you.

I'm not the kind of person to lean on it too hard or kick it. who the hell would do that!
