I think this was a thread a one point, but needs a revival. Definitely one of my favorite things to see.

Recording drums here: two overheads, kick and snare. one of the Yamaha unit's XLRs died in the chip stage so I'm using that behringer mixer on the right for the overheads, and the ART preamp is for my kick. Recording guitars or vox I just use the Yamaha.

Note, the 'Shure' branded USB mug warmer for keeping your tea warm whilst recording !!

mine is less of a 'setup' and more of a 'corner with stuff piled in it' which can be connected to the laptop or desktop as required.

1st day - basically set up the drum kit and did one guide guitar and drum take. We re-tracked all that the second day because i felt it wasn't tight enough. OBEY THE CLICK.

2nd day - i woke up at like 8-9am puking after spending the night downing whiskey, beer, and french fries. i forgot they were coming over and i was like OH FUCKKKK. amazingly, it was extremely productive and we got three final drum tracks down. YES!

Its sitting in the corner waiting for me to rewire it once I get a second to breath! I'd love to get it back up but I've been swamped. I have the next two days off fortunately so hopefully soon

The home studio is a bit boring, but the place where I do most of my work now has all the charm...

A very cozy 9'x11' place, but is just right for the work I do.

The Blue Sky 5.1 system is a lot of fun to use, and perfect for this little room.

With the window facing another building to the West, I don't get any direct sunlight but do enjoy the view that the ginkos give me.

The core insulation is made of huge 8-inch thick blocks of something I've yet to see before, with lovely double doors to keep things snug

Guitars du jour, just took this shot a few minutes ago. Usually I've got the CIJ Strat and Epi 7-string instead of the Jazzmaster, they actually get used on company projects much more than the rest.

My Tascam 388 is now owned by my friend. It's a tank of a machine.
1/4 inch tape, 8 tracks.

I ghetto-partitioned a part of my garage with plywood, old office cubicle dividers and shelving to make myself a wee studio. Works pretty well, except that it gets uncomfortably warm (high 80s) in there this time of year during the day. Can't really keep guitars and mics in there unattended because of the heat, unfortunately.

The drum set is a friend's. We haven't really recorded much with it because it's a shit kit and the room is still a garage. Its recording capacity is limited because of that. The few tracks we did try came out decent enough.

I like Mackie stuff. I use the Blackbird and two MR8 MkII monitors. Good shit!
