Here's something you might like. My friend just traded in his Rickenbacker 360 for this 61-64ish Gibson Melody Maker:

As you can see, it has a custom cut pickguard, a 60's gibson p-90 in the neck, and some kind of humbucker in the bridge. The wrap around bridge has been used as the stop piece for the new tunomatic bridge. Also, the input jack and knobs seem to sit waay further back in on the body then the normal melody maker. This picture below shows a 61 or 62 melody maker according to wiki, the guy at the store said the one above is a 64. (we're not sure if he is correct). What year do you guys suspect this MM is?

The humbucker and the p-90 gel really well together. The pickguard is a really thick one-ply with white siding, it looks fantastic:
