I purchased a CIJ 1999-2002 Competition Mustang Reissue off a buddy of mine, and I'm trying to find out the factory specs on it. I'm sure it's been covered on here before, but I did a search and didn't find any specifics. I'm mainly interested in knowing the wood used for the body. I'd also be interested to know the exact year it was produced. The serial number is P082339. Anyone have an idea?

the body will be basswood. not much more info to be had from a cursory serial number search-

thanks for the reply. so the body is most likely basswood? good to know. i paid $350.00 for is, so i'm pretty pleased with it. it's the lake placid blue finish, but it has started to yellow some. the competition stripes have a nice seafoam green tint.

I almost bought one exactly like that on Gumtree last year. I couldn't quite afford the asking price and he wouldn't accept my lower offer.
