I'm sorry but isn't this gettin' a bit obsessive now... ?

1 guitar every 4-5 months is maybe ok. But it seems like 1 every 2-3 weeks is borderline madness ?

If it were me with this sort of compulsion to buy I wouldn't be able to concentrate more than 10 mins without considering the 'next' purchase.

You have great taste but isn't this 'GAS' (as they say) killing you ?

Take pictures of you with the guitar and a current newspaper. This way I know its real, can narrow down where you live and recognize you when I see you on the street. lol Nice guitar.

You can always tell it's real with westy because A.) Westy goes through guitars like i go through, um i dunno, something clever and B.) The decor of his abode. I love it, with all the weird art, and his wife's creations

<3 teh Gold top Deluxe.

An old bandmate had a '72 original Gold top Deluxe in decent shape that I coveted greatly for a season. Ballsy and sparkly like a P90'd LP, with a tad more fatness when over driven.

Hope you hold on to it, prolly one of my faves among your (present) collection.

Is this your first goldtop deluxe? I could've swore you had one a while back...or was that just with P-90s or hums?

How are you finding this one? It looks sweet!

My friend has one of these that some previous owner had modified with full size 'buckers. Not sure what that would make it worth now but its a decent guitar for a Gibson, i did an overall on it which has given it extra mojo.

Very nice indeed - it's actually kind of kitsch looking with the cream surrounds...somehow like aged 70's kitchen white goods. This is a good thing.

Thanks for the posts! This deluxe is a 2007. it has a chambered body and only weighs about 7 1/2 lbs.

I think the deluxe in this youtube video below is a 2007 like mine.
I believe that 2007 is the first(and last) year that Gibson made the deluxe with a chambered body.
The guy in the vid says Gibson only made 2 but I think he is mistaken.

07 was when Gibson really starting to experiment with putting the chambered bodies into normal production... I beleive in 08 is when they started making all of the Std's as chambered bodies.... my std is an 07 and its chambered; although Gibby claims the std's were not until 08

so basically if Gibby or some dude says they only made 2 I would not beleive it.....
