Squierstang?

Post by 61fury »

Anyone know about wraps or skins? I think I'd want the shell kind in a solid color
It's for a BSB Affinity, I like the way it looks so I don't want to alter it permanently. Just enough to get me a half assed Squierstang ; pearloid PG, Mustang knobs, kidney bean tuners. I'd like a Rosewood fret board, something cheap, how are the Guitar Fetish ones? Bored, wanting a cheap project.

I got a friend that does these vinyl wraps on cars and such for company's work vehicles but I do not think I would ever put it on a guitar... I think it would feel weird... not to mention would be a pain in the arse to apply... seems like a waste of resources imo

Now I'm wondering...? And interested in how it works out.

Might the vinyl scratch right off after some scrapes of the pick?

I have no idea, they sell them. No experience with them. I realized they only cover the top, which I didn't want. Now faux binding would be in order.

Still don't quite know what you're after... I have a vague idea, but just stopped breathing for a second over this thought.

You want to put a sticker on the guitar to make it look more like a mustang ?

Why do I struggle to understand the most basic of things.... please help.

Those little slide switches would fit right in on the Tele PG too. I wouldn't be trying to fool anyone that it's a Mustang obviously, just Mustang themed.
It's not too hard , think of those Jazzmaster style guitars with Tele controls, like GFS sells.
The dream is dead however.
