Adehesive Pearloid sheet?
I'd like to put a pearloid fascia on the front of a guitar headstock as part of the finish but I'm not sure where to get one from. It needs to be able to curve at the bit where the fretboard meets the neck around the truss rod adjustment hole so regular pickguard sheets are out, they're too rigid and the 3-ply stuff would look daft as well as adding a fair bit of width to the overall thickness of the headstock which would cause problems for the tuning pegs, string trees, etc.
So where can I get a nice thin piece of pearloid adhesive?

Allparts list THIS on their website, it's white pearl, it's thin at 0.7mm, but not sure if it's self adhesive, and it looks like it's on backorder so will probably take a week or 2 to arrive. ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Troll ebay for drum wraps.
I know there's a product out there that is basically thin, self adhesive vinyl sheet and I've seen pearloid pop up fairly regularly, as it's a common finish for drums.
You should be able to find something that will suit your needs. Only problem being that you might have to buy a lot more than you'll ever require.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
EDIT: You might also want to go take a look at your local copy/printing shop as well, as they likely offer print services on exactly the kind of surface you're describing. I'm talking about the stuff that's often used for lettering/graphics on the side of panel trucks and storefront windows. You might have to source a hi resolution photo of the pattern you're looking for but that shouldn't be too hard a thing to find...

Six inches by 56(!) inches it says there. That's enough to do a bunch of headstocks. I checked on the checkout page and it seems that $13.90 is standard UK delivery price, soooooo it's $35 in total which works out as £21 or so. Not awful, but I'm willing to sell the (ENORMOUS) offcut leftovers to anyone who fancies it after I'm done.
I'm gearing up to finish off the Teardrop, I've been busy AND poor so I've had no money or incentive just yet, but a few people are paying me to fix up guitars for them (I'll post details up in another thread when I get started in a few days) so I have cash and it seems fair to spend said cash on more music gear, specifically doing justice to the Teardrop body. It's going to be an Italia/EKO/Vox inspired 60s pearloid explosion, so the pearloid headstock is pretty much mandatory.
