forgive the playing (i NEVER solo, and was just figuring stuff out on the fly) this is more to show how the MadeByMike Dist2 can boost a Muff. there's definitely some mojo-boosting going on from the Dist2!

That's an awesome tone.

I'm going to experiment with my HD500 and boosting the Muff model now...

Or I could reach over for my real muff...

What I notice is how running an OD before a muff tends to give it a lot more clarity, though it makes it less "Muffy" of course. It starts to get close to the Post Siamese Dreams sounds almost.

I wonder why it is. What I find with the Muffs is that you can't generally raise the mids much, for some reason that's where all the Muffliness is. But you get that extra kick in the mids when you put an OD in front of it.

I remember trying an OD with my friends Metal Zone, it was actually a very cool sound at the time.

And I think it was in this forum that I received that pro tip. I have my OD-3 before my You Dirty Rat and Bass Big Muff and it pairs really well with the BBM.
