I haven't locked the trem yet as the strings that are on it are as vintage as the guitar, got a new set waiting to go on after I give it a bit of a service and clean up.Doog wrote: Looks like a fun little axe, Dezb mate- £110 for a bit of widdlywiddly fun is mighty fine. How's the locking trem?

Locking trem is locked (more like jammed) had to hit bits of it with a hammer and some wd-40 to get them moving freely. put new strings on seems to be working well, once the strings have stretched in properly I'll do some dive bombs and see how the tuning holds.dezb1 wrote:I haven't locked the trem yet as the strings that are on it are as vintage as the guitar, got a new set waiting to go on after I give it a bit of a service and clean up.Doog wrote: Looks like a fun little axe, Dezb mate- £110 for a bit of widdlywiddly fun is mighty fine. Brute force and ignorance... worked for me. besides it was only a little hammer and it worked. Some of the parts were that seized up I literally couldn't get them to move, so the little screws for fine tuning after the nut was locked down weren't any use as the spring mechanism wasn't budging.

ok so... I bought this as a bit of a joke but after a good set up and a week of playing it; believe it or not it's a nice sounding guitar, plenty of sustain the EMG selects get a bad press on the forums but I like them... not sure I’d be seen in public with it; but I can see it becoming a well used studio guitar... £110 well spent I think.
