While I hope you're right, they seem to treat Mustang type guitars and basses as kind of premium products.

You don't really see Duncan Designed pups in any Squier axes below $249. They tend to be $279 and up.

I think my Squier M-80 with DD was like $399 new.

My Strat Deluxe was $279 new and is awesome, has DD pickups, gorgeous daphne blue finish w/ a nice maple neck, 22 frets, too.

i definitely want one of these, just got my girlfriend a cute little bronco bass that we,re gonna pimp out real nice... was just talking to her about us aquiring a fender mustang if we could for the right price... that was before i knew the squier mustang was coming out.
way to go squier, it's nice that they are finally doing something with offsets rather than just bringing us more strats n teles.
when i first started playing guitar the jagmaster was the only offset that squier offered and the only offset bass you could get from them was the bronco.
i think the mustang looks pretty damn sweet!!!!

MUSTANG BASS!

Nobody seems to have them in stock or even posted yet, but Best Buy has the page up, and it looks like $279 was the right price! Not too bad, I hope these play and sound good!

Ugh!!! I'm so tempted!

I'm trying to offload a Fender Jazz bass (MiM) to get another shortscale bass... but my options seem to have exponentified in the past few months...

-Fender Mustang
-Squire Mustang
-SX Jaguar
-Squire Jaguar

And that's not even counting the used market!

Does anyone know if Mustang pickups are the same as the pickups used in the early 80's Fender and Squire Bullet Basses?

still no street date?

I am really sick of lugging my gigantic flying v bass around brooklyn, and knowing this is coming has killed my desire for those crummy humbucker jaguar basses that just showed up!

The Shop I work for got one today... never had time to plug it in though.

General feeling. Wish it had gloss neck / less sharp fret ends.

Otherwise, pretty good.... very fun !!
