i would try the saddle....also you should look at your string angles....ive seen some strings that actually contact the tunomatic corner before it goes thru the saddle...ya d string should be tougher to break....

I have this epiphone casino, and it has the standart bridge .

and my first string brakes from time to time, not very often but still, its 0.11, D'Addario, wanted to know if the graphite trick would help me too?

I'd say something about how a casino isnt a shortscale and that I sniff corks, but I give a crap, so:

1-im surprised your breakind a daddario that easy. IMO they are some of the toughest to break.

2-take a look at exactly where the string is breaking. if the ball end is coming off, im very surprised. if its at the contact point at the bridge, take a good look at the saddle itself and feel for any sharp points... it wont hurt to put graphite in there anyway, so go for it.

No, I really dont break strings, havent changed the set for months (I use those string refreshing liquids etc), but just sometimes randomly the string breaks right where the bridge is, at the 'sharp-point', about every other month.. (and Im no shredder)

Will try the graphite trick, thanks.
Lube it up.
