I can't see how I'll get money back plus keep the (possibly repaired ?) pedal.
Yes, you'll have to return it and he'll have the cash that gets refunded to you taken from his account.

You won't get the money back and be able to keep the repaired pedal. Apologies for the mix up but I didn't realise that you wanted to keep hold of the pedal, are they really that rare that you wouldn't be willing to wait for another, less crackly, one to come along?

You could always ask the guy to contribute to the repair costs. He'll probably tell you to shove it though.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the words.

I think I'll get word back from the repair guy and if it's a no go then I'll file a claim with ebay / paypal, otherwise I'll try take it on the chin. I was gifted a guitar a few weeks back, I knew karma would come back around to bite me on the ass. So sell guitar, use money to buy pedal. Send Bad karma to ebayer... :D

I need this pedal in my life.

I have a slightly different stance on this now....

I've not had word back from the repair guy yet, if he can sort it then fine.... I've asked for a contribution to the potential repair costs which I don't expect to receive.

If it not fixable then I will be filling a dispute via paypal. What is there to lose ?

I shouldn't have to take a great loss on this because I'm a nice guy. I HAVE RIGHTS !!

Well, I bought another this evening after selling a guitar a few night ago... Won it at 7pm, collected by 9pm.

This one is just fine thank god, and in much better condition & without issues.

SO now just gotta sort the other RV3 now as per previous post. Still heard back from the seller... which gives me more impetuous to get what I'm owed somehow.
