This rescued me at an acoustic gig I did recently when I thought I didn't have tuner, my guitar was really out of tune and someone had it on his iphone. It turned out that I did have a tuner after all, I found it buried in the bottom of my bag after the gig.

I'm thinking that the ability to just strum between songs live would save a fair whack of time, and the Polytune looks as small as any other tuner. Reckon I don't need a Buffer for now anyway, so it seems like a logical purchase.

If you find you need a buffer at a later date you could always buy one of Tim's uber small ones for your pedal board.

That's definitely the most expensive and inconvenient solution.

A pedal, a buffer, an extra patch cable, an extra power cable...

Don't see me needing a buffer anytime soon, since the Zoom seems to have one of some sort (alters the tone slightly I think). Besides, I don't see me having much more than the Polytune, PD-01, Fredric IC Muff and Small Clone on the board for the foreseeable future.

As a side note, Tim's IC Muff which I just recently got off Noirie is fantastic; a brilliant contrast to the MBM Custom Green Muff Saltbooster which the bassist is using now. Really cuts through the mix well and acts as a good solo boost on top of the Zoom.

This is what hjas gotten the job done for me for about 3 years. It has never ever caused any trouble and if used with a 9v battery the battery lasts forever.

No, it's true bypass - but this in itself can kill treble if you have an all TB board

Gabe, I'll buy it if shipping is reasonable?

For those that care, I've used the Polytune quite a bit now and it's brilliant. Really small, quick to use, and if the polyphonic tuning ever seems a bit off, I just do it string by string and it's fine. Awesome pedal.

I've been trying to buy a DT-10 for ages, had a post in the classifieds too. Not "local" to you granted, but would have gladly paid shipping etc to UK
Gave up and got Lorez's Ibanez one instead.

Best Buy has the Pitchblack on sale for $65. Received an e-mail about their deals (which usually aren't great). Don't know how long the sale is for but that's a pretty good deal. You have to add it to your cart to see the price, btw.
