That's part of the beauty of these that nobody values them. The trouble is, nobody values them. I saw a 58 Duo sell for $800 a few weeks ago. WITH CASE. It was heartbreaking. We can't always be the ones to benefit.

I think the selling market seems a bit soft right now.

yup, i pick it up all the time for bedroom shenanigans, because i can never be arsed setting an amp up. the pickups are singles, obviously, but almost P90-ish in their range. much dirtier than my jag or duo. i've heard complaints about the pickups being weak, and i honestly think "WTF are you talking about?"

it sounds like exactly what it is- a hollow body fender. it has the fender sound but with a bit of oomph, and a 60s jazzmaster neck. what more d'you want? it's not a casino or a 335, but if you want that, buy one of those. i'll never ever part with mine.

I just noticed it has special stamped into the back of the headstock under the tuners. I wonder if it was made for a show or specifically for someone...

I think that generally means it was a NAMM show example, or something along those lines.

Love it, nice guitar, used a hang out with someone who had a 12 string coronado.
