Read a lot of hype about this lil' guy and needed a low gain OD. I got one in the mail today via PGS (fastest shipping I've ever encountered, btw. From Portland to Vermont in 2 days, for free!)
Out of the box -- I got a lemon. First of all, the footpad (it looks like a boss pedal) was not glued down, it seemingly melted the glue and was loose. I placed it where it should be and it seems fine. The metal plate where the knobs are is peeling up from the edge, and is a bit bent. WHAT THE FUCK. $99 pedal you figure they could use some QC.
This thing better sound heavenly or its going back.
ship it back, pgs always takes care of customers, haven't heard a bad thing yet.
Let us know how it sounds, I've only heard a few clips here and there but I've always heard about it.
I would tell them that u r extremely disappointed in this products quality and u just want to return it.......... unless they will exchange it and let u use the ODR25 code....... ............for ur hassle of getting a lemon

Used it pretty extensively at volume with my band last night -- it's just what I needed. Does the low gain overdrive sound really well, I don't think it sounds as good past 8 (drive) or so, but the controls are very interactive, similar to a RAT. Also, tons of volume on tap, it works as a clean boost (or close to clean). I think I'll put together a demo today after I go into to town to get strings.
Yeah, plastic PCB-mounted jacks that aren't fixed to the chassis- super-unreliable. I had to fix both the input and power jacks on mine a few times before both it and I'd had enough.
The original Nobels series were actually the coloured ones like these, the "grey with coloured sticker" ones came second.
