Before anyone gets their panties in a wad considering i'm not that good, i think i got this show cause the owners are giving me the benefit of doubt due to my brother's passing.
Anyhoo, the local coffeehouse gallery made a call for artists in june, and i figured i'd try out cause i needed motivation to keep doing art. Classes (all 2 of them) helped me stay on task, so i thought this would too. Then all shit hit the fan when my brother began to die. So i've done next to nothing, but i am working my ass off right now.
Given the time, i'm mostly doing acrylic painting, even though painting is my worst medium. well, i'm decent at porcelain painting, but that takes a shit ton of time, as you have to fire between each layer.
Anyhoo, i suppose this thread is boring without pics, but there will be pics soon enough. my camera got stolen. i wouldn't care, 'cept A: it was really the girlfriend's camera, and b: it had the very last picture i own(ed) of my dead brother on it.

I made it sound sadder than it is. Really, it should be a positive, like the old punk slogan of "here's three chords, start a band," it's an opportunity for someone (me) who has no idea what they're doing. thanks dude(hotrod)!
