The Fender Mascmaster had 9.5" too, and his vintage Jazzies have huge frets leveled flat installed to simulate a flatter board, so while it is the only thing they can do at least it's appropriate here. The CV guitars are straight-up named after their pickguards.Thomas wrote:Boing indeedy! Pesky 9.5" radius tho.

Thanks for posting that, Mike! Seems the thing is just around the corner for a bunch of us.
Just checked out the specs on the site. May not be alone here thinking this, but I have a feeling that the Butterscotch body option w/anodized gold pickguard and rosewood fingerboard is going to smell look rather funky.

I don't see a scenario where I don't get one of these unless I can find the Fender J. Mascis for $500 like I did last Christmas and even then I could see owning both the Fender and the Squier Models.
Besides the different color schemes, the only real difference between the Fender and Squier versions is the tremolo placement, pickups, no tremolo lock, and matching headstock. It's pretty exciting to see a full featured Jazzmaster from Squier after the previous failed attempts. Very cool.
