Danelectro Pedals?

Post by Viljami »

I was remembering that I once saw a list here of what the Danelectro pedals were copies of (kinda like the Behringer list) but now I cannot find it anywhere.

Anyone have it/one?

Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive = Paul Cochrane Timmy
Cool Cat Drive = Fulltone OCD
Cool Cat Fuzz = Frantone Peach Fuzz

I'm sure the others are clones too, but I'm not sure what of off the top of my head.

its only version 1 of those pedals that were said to be close to the cloned pedals though and they made some changes with the version 2 ones.

Thanks! Add away if you can remember any others. It would be nice to A/B the v.1's and 2's.

i think gearmandude has done some comparisons between the 2 and the pedals they are rip offs from. Saying that aren't the OCD, Peach Fuzz and the Timmy based on other pedals anyway?

As I understood it, the Peach Fuzz is roughly based on a Wooly Mammoth which is roughly based on a Muff.
I thought the OCD and Timmy were fairly original, though. I could well be wrong and can't think now why I believe this.

Believe the OCD was a modified Voodoo Labs pedal if I remember correctly, a Sparkle Drive maybe?

Sparkle Drive is just a Tubescreamer with a clean blend which doesn't really fit an OCD.

I believe the Mammoth is a modified silicon Fuzz Face.
