utilizing a reverb tank

Post by izodiak »

I have this question, if I bought a (spring)reverbtank off eBay, could I transform it to a large effect pedal..
I want to be able to let my voice pass through this springyness and guitar too.. so an XLR/instrument cable input would be nice.
But maybe it is impossible ? (I dont have money for a nice tube amp with this kind of reverb tank, but I have money for a reverb tank)

Any advice ?

something like this 1 or 2

I'm pretty sure all it entails is a mic at one end and a speaker at the other, but someone should probably vouch for this?

I read at the sites they sell these kits, You need a preamp at one end, and a booster at the other?
And some kind of bypass stompbox ?
(Im now reading all kinds of stuff)

If just the tank and line in/out.. that would be great.

I remember there being a Epiphone Valve Junior with a Reverb, which you could use as a reverb tank also. I don't think they've been making them for some time, but theres always Ebay. Didn't you use to have a Danelectro Spring King?

I still have a reverb king(use it at max volume/reverb all the time), but I want more reverb. longer, or how to say, larger space..
Thought a longer spring could help that..
And I would like the possibility to let my vocals through it on stage, or at least try how it sounds.
