that makes them so much more present?
O my tape machine i've recorded with solid state fender princeton chorus, hybrid peavey deuce, and tube fender deluxe, tube fender deville 4x10.
they're all fun in their own ways, but the fender twin reverb just saturates the tape so much, and sounds so clear. is it the tubes, speakers, eq?
Can i make adjustments to other amps to emulate that sound?

Maybe they're just that awesome? 8)
I would love to hear a recorded comparison between a Roland JC120 hard panned with a Twin Reverb hard panned in the opposite direction.

Twin reverb reissue has a lot of compression in it. (dont know a whole lot about silverfaces) I imagine the Deluxe reverb (40 watt twin, essentially) does too. When I saw Earth they were playing DRRI amps, and it sounded quite compressed. Probably due in large part to the COMPRESSER in Dylan's pedal chain, but I imagine it respond similar to a twin.

And yeah, they do have pretty inescapable high end PENETRATION.
