More market research. Who uses true bypass loopers?

100% Dry to 100% Wet via a Pot so you can use it as a standard TB loop with the pot dimed will be very useful to a look of people I think.
I like the idea of being able to add a bit of modulation effect to my sound, inparticular flanger or phaser, without it overpowering it. It would be even more useful if the blend could be turned off when using other effects such as tremolo.

I've been considering making an A/B/Bypass loop pedal for a while, but I'm concerned about losing teh feedbacks from having both dirt pedals on at the same time that I haven't done it yet. I would use one at least to try it out, but then again I wouldn't be buying one.

Actually, now that I think about it, instead of doing a base single bypass loop, double the loop into two, add another switch to A/B them, and sell those. You can switch between two whole chains, or bypass the whole set if you wanted. Or, you could just use one chain. At least it would make it a somewhat unique product. That's why I'm building my own, I can't find one that does exactly that, that's cheap enough to justify not building it myself.

Yep, add in a switchable Klon buffer and you have all the necessary mojo to tame massive pedalboards.Mike wrote:Actually that's a good idea - I often get people asking about wet/dry blends on FX loops - do it.

LS-2 is overcomplicated shit. I want two stompers, one stomper does the A/B, other stomp is bypass. I've looked at the LS-2 and thought "How the fuck do you use this?" I switch between two different dirt boxes and then clean within the same song with sudden changes, I cannot sit there and try to remember what mode the stupid pedal is in when I'm rawking out. I'm a dumb.BacchusPaul wrote:Yep, add in a switchable Klon buffer and you have all the necessary mojo to tame massive pedalboards.Mike wrote:Actually that's a good idea - I often get people asking about wet/dry blends on FX loops - do it.

A number of DIY kids in Korea actually earn rent by building A/B switchers and true bypass loopers and selling them for the equivalent of $50 a pop.
Funny how local company Amsterdam Cream (I know, few names are more LEL worthy) came along and actually sold out their stock early when their $110 units hit the stores. I have a feeling that the A/B switch proved attractive.

Thems boxes really cute, eh?
Shame it's the most expensive pedal in the Amsterdam Cream lot. Anyway, next time I'm in central Seoul (maybe this Saturday or the next) I could pick one up at a shop I know for MAP, which seems to be the same at each vendor I've checked (KRW153,000/$130 ~ 83GBP). If you're interested, I could ship it to the UK much cheaper than from here when I'm in the States next month (around Oct.13~15), for about $15.
I wish I had time to could translate this www.freebud.co.kr video word for word, despite the incredible fuzz toanz, by the end of the pedal test the guys simply can't stand how loud the pedal is. They also don't know how a Fender Jaguar works.
