New cab day!

Post by wilrecar77 »

Just picked up a 70's? Kustom 412l cab off of craigslist for 50$

Image

Not sure of the age but the logo used was for 75-83. The speakers inside have CTS codes but are round magnets and 12 ohms with aluminum dust caps. Apparently a speaker engineer from CTS went on to form Eminence around the time this was made, but since CTS speakers are usually square and these are round... maybe these were some of the first Eminence speakers ever made?

Either way it sounds crazy full, very thick and thumpy in a good way.

I would love something like that to plug my iPad into running Amplitube.

It weighs almost twice as much as my valvestate 412 cab, so yeah. I'm glad it has wheels for sure.
