well, the coronado and viking are almost copies at first sight but they are two totally different animalsJames wrote:They're often mentioned together but not many people seem to own both. How do they compare? I would guess they'd be fairly similar unplugged and the main difference would be in how they feel to the different neck profiles.kapepepper wrote:68 Viking hagstrom
66 Coronado
The viking is semi hollow (has a block under the bridge), is very light, pick ups are more responsive (stronger... hope you knwo what iw ant to say), neck is very thin (but also very fast)
But at the other hand: the coronado is beautifull crafted instrument (finish, neck bindings,...). in that way the hagstrom feels a bit cheaper. Coronado Pick Ups are relatively weak and the guitar is not as resonant as is the hagstrom...
so, in the end, it is difficult to say which I prefer, and I think I just have to keep both

not one, BUT TWO sex pistols stickers. Hows the dogear blend with the dimarzio for teh cleans?
some teles

the white one is getting one of those single coil adapter rings and probably a american std strat pickup. Possibly a Tele bridge pu if it will fit.

Like an out-of-phase vowel-like sound. Not sure if the polarity is right with the dimarzio, its an old 70s model without adjustable pole pieces so i was'nt sure which way it should fitted and if it makes a difference anyway.Haze wrote:Hows the dogear blend with the dimarzio for teh cleans?
Switching between the two is really well balanced, the dimarzio is'nt particularly high output, its basically a hot PAF so the cleans a very nice.
not one Tele, but THREE Teles

Haze is the Telemaster. How you liking the WRHB? Have you gotten to try it out yet? The one I put in the Black Jaguar sounds heavenly.Haze wrote:not one, BUT TWO sex pistols stickers. Hows the dogear blend with the dimarzio for teh cleans?
