Epiphone Limited Edition 50th Anniversary '1961' SG

Post by jcyphe »

Continuation of Ultra's Epiphone Namm '11 thread, looks like they'll be $399 at the big retail stores.

the switch tip looks a bit like a dog's lipstick poking out, but apart from that they're pretty sexy.

Awesome, just like the Pete Townsend one I've lusted after. All the colours look great too. Could be good for the riffs.

SGs feel absolutely perfect to me. A silly light set of strings and an SG. It's like my fingers magically improve 500% as soon as I come into contact with that setup. But I fucking hate the way they look, and I have no idea why.

These look like they'd fit the bill both ways, great players and great sounds from the P90s, but I wouldn't be seen dead with one.

(maybe a yellow one?)

TV Yeller!

That's practically a proper Burnt Ochre, something you'd see on classic lead-based paint on Fisher-Price toys from yesteryear.

Because of Fugazi.

i gave up after 1:03 of it.
do these have legit p-90s? i'm sick of the lower-priced juniors/specials always having secret humbuckers or some other weird crap i don't want. i don't know why gibson can't just make a classic-styled sg jr that doesn't cost $3000. it really shouldn't be that hard.
if gibson made this for under a grand, i'd buy one:
