NGD! CIJ Mustang MG69
Hello everyone!
New to the shortscale forum. Been rocking TGP, TDPRI, and OSG for a while (I play on a 52 AVRI Tele and CIJ Jazzmaster) but never had a shortscale and was never cool enough to justify joining shortscale
Anyway, that's about to change.
One of my backup guitars (Dillion DTT72) got stolen a few days ago and I've been looking for a new guitar to suppress some GAS...
and I came upon this.
97-98 CIJ MG69. Going to play it tomorrow to see how it fits my hand, but I wanted to know what you guys thought about the deal.
The asking price is about 500 in USD, and MG69s seem to go for about 600~700 here in Korea. Goddamn ebay is ruining everything.
Anyway, wanted to introduce myself and say hello.. and also get your two cents on the matter.
Thanks!

Welcome aboard. $500 is not bad considering they retail for over $900. Not the best deal ever, but it looks hot. I actually like the red tort on Daphne Blue

Picked it up. Loving this Stang!
How come nobody told me that this guitar was a helluva lot of fun to play? May not be the best guitar I ever played, but I can say without a doubt that it is the most fun.
Reporting to base tomorrow, but I'm being discharged the day after (All korean males have to serve in the armed forces for 22 months ) so I will take better pictures of it then.

Hmm. You need to directly link to the image, the embedding tags here don't like being given server arguments for displaying. We need to upgrade the site at some point.
I'd fix your tags for you but I can't hit imageshack from work to get the direct link.
Welcome to the club! The fun to play factor is why we have a site dedicated to these guitars, nothing beats a shortscale in fun and playability. It's only a secret because most guitarists have their heads stuck in their asses and won't play anything SRV/Page/Hendrix didn't play.

That's the main reason I never go back to Korea these days.
