Is it really that hard to insert new strings that you have to hack the back plate plastic thingy up?

depending on what kinda shape the neck is in, it looks like a great candidate for a refinish. and for thr love of pete, get a new pickguard

It would almost be worth it for the neck alone. It's hard to come 24/3/4" Fender necks and having one made is probably about $250. If you want a project guitar, it could be a nice deal. I always preferred the Cyclone IIs but it could easily be modified with a new pickguard.

If you have any inclination to doing refinish work, that would be a really nice fix up guitar. Sand it down and fill the gouges, then repaint.

The other bits can easily be replaced.

$250 is a pretty decent price, but you might even be able to show up and offer $200 and walk away with it even cheaper.

It's been for sale since Easter, 3rd go around on Craigslist now. I'd offer $175, $200 max. Seller lives a 5 minutes from me. I spoke with him a few months ago, gave him a call a few minutes ago but he didn't answer.

Guy doesn't even have a fucking sheet on his bed. Judging by the room and guitar I'd be worried about the hygenic implications of owning it.

He won't do Paypal, so it's "local only".

I may pick it up tomorrow. If anyone wants it, "as is", they can have it. Otherwise, I've got some leftover black paint...
