Sell Crazy - mixes from the new record

Post by Mike »

Sell Crazy on Soundcloud

Hi guys,

If you're on facebook/twitter I'll have spammed this already but in case you missed it/didn't care or whatever here's the first two tracks from the upcoming record we've spent basically a year writing, rehearsing and recording.

Enjoy!

M

Gearwise I'm using my Jaguar and Competition Mustang on my parts, whilst Gareth is using his Telecaster Thinline.
J is playing his old beat Squier Jazz Bass.
Drums are the TD-20.

Tones are a mixture of MBM Pedals and Guitar Rig4.

Sounding good, man! I'd personally make the kick and snare a bit more prominent, just to stop the driving beatz from getting lost.

Cheers guys - there's still time for tweaks in the mixes so I'll pass on any comments you guys have. Much appreciated for listening.

Woodshed is one of my favourites for playing live.

I love it. The mixes do sound a tad thin but really it's still good. I've always loved Sell Crazy. Reminds me of Sebadoh.

Thanks for listening. These are unmastered so hopefully that will add some punch!

I love how you use the word Beguile in Worth the Cost.

Woodshed has that 60's rock vibe going on, especially with Gareth's voice. I like both songs.

Yeah, they're nice songs. I like Gareth's voice. The drums could be a bit more prominent.

Cheers for the comments. Here's a work in progress - the first rough mix of our obligatory Drug Waltz, "Wasting My Time"
