DEW.

A local place has a '64 Jag that isn't even in as good of condition, Hotrod played it when he was here, and they wanted $4500 for it. It also didn't have B+B. DO IT.

that's not a bad price, but try and talk them down a bit.
i also don't see any pickup claws. i can't imagine why they'd be missing, though.

Claws could be under the pickguard though I am not sure why you would not want to see more chrome :)

What red color is that? Fiesta?

hard to judge 100% by that photo, but i'm going to say the claws aren't there. when i zoom in on the pickups, i don't see that extra heft the claws would lend. and look at all the other chrome bits in that region of the picture. . . it is all very distinctly dark and does not get washed out by the adjacent white. even the strings are clearly visible, and they are nowhere near as significant as the claws' appearance would be. maybe ask about the bridge, too, as it doesn't seem stock to me. . . looks mustang.

i don't know. . . the neck could be worth several hundred on its own, and parting it out would probably get to $1500. the refin doesn't bother me as much as the claws do, though. it makes me wonder how many other parts have been swapped out.

I would offer $900 and haggle it out from there. Maybe get him down to $1200.

No one in their right mind (or with any sense of decency) should lowball someone to the tune of $900 for that guitar. $1500 is a fair, low price, claws, pickup, trem arm, refin and all.

i agree, $900 is a lowball and could dampen the owner's willingness to haggle. $1200-1300 seems about right.

well, that seems silly. If the price is good why in the hell should they haggle? If their price is good it will sell soon anyways.

For a store, that's an even better price. Just have a quick peep under the guard to check for hideous routs, then buy it. Flip it here or at Offset if you don't like it.

if they just blatantly refuse to entertain the notion, then i don't feel like giving them my money. they should at least pretend to think about your offer.
