GOD FUCK IT MOOG.

For all non-guitar instruments; mandolins, synths, kazoos, and anything else musical that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Awesome; nabbed it and the Filtertron :)
I poked around with Animoog for a minute and it seems pretty fun, and perhaps stage useable... but I have to finish up and submit a thesis draft, so had to turn it off ;)

I wonder if it would be possible to build a super simple analogue vco with a pitch knob and a gate switch for a quid's worth of scrap electronics.......that's where my money would go.

The email from Moog was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning. I spent the day trying to figure out how to shuffle around dollars to make an iPad purchase feasible.

Between Animoog, Filtatron, the ReBirth app, Korg's iMS-20 and iElectribe, and NLog's synth, today was the point where I realized I can no longer not justify ~$600 for a new device that can do a lot musically in addition to all the usual crap.

Oh, and aen: after seeing this, I about shat:

http://moogmusic.com/sight-and-sound/sound_lab/animoog-meet-little-phatty

Controlling Animoog via MIDI, and presumably the Phatty is set to low-note priority so that the bass note will always play (and sending the analog audio out via the 1/4"), while the it rest of the keypresses are transmitted polyphonically to Animoog.

Simply amazing.

Oh, and the looping/overdub shit is of course amazing.

Downloaded filtatron for the iphone/ipod touch for now. I might just get animoog too because I do plan on getting an ipad eventually... and for only 99 cents I might as well.
