I don't know what it is, but I really do not like the look of the RP-series compared with the M9/M13. I know that's superficial, but there's something about it I can't quite put my finger on.

That's pretty bananas to see a floor unit for use with something so pricey as an iPad. I'd hope there's some sort of cover or protection for the iPad otherwise every beery, out-of-control show could put a bigger dent in your bank account than usual..

nifty idea but like doog says, that screen needs some protection. I'm guessing they are aiming these at the bedroom guitarist

The promo vid I saw for it (I think it was on HCFX) a while back was marketing it as something being used at a gig.

Just looked up a review on it and it didn't say anything about the screen being protected at all.

It's touch screen so you can't have any additional protection.

Great fun for the bedroom I'm sure.

a] yes you fucking can
b] being a floorboard, would assume you use the foot switches instead of stomping on you ipud or reaching down to tap a pedal on/off

O looked at one of these at GC the other day and it looked pretty damned cool. Not typically a digitech fan, but damned that shit looks liek it would be fun to mess with.

Makes sense to use the processor you already have in your ipad rather than buy a whole new DSP for your guitar effects - I hope there's a good modulation matrix for patching modulation sources to effect parameters not just meat-head friendly virtual pedals. I personally wouldn't touch this with yours but it does makes sense.
