Hopf guitars anyone?

Post by jamba72 »

Thats actually a very nice old german guitar brand, I had just one of these , a Hopf Twisty from the mids 60ies.
The neck was shortscale, but in very bad shape. So, I decided to put on a standard Strat neck and moved the bridge. For that, I had to install a piece of mahagony in the cavity to drill new stud holes.
Also put P90ies and a TOM bridge on. The body is of mahagony, what was quite rarely used.

I like that. It looks kind of like a cross between a Jazzmaster and Burns Brian May.
