Yeah, there was a lot of empty space without the trem plate. I put it that far back on purpose though. I like to play while holding the end of the trem handle, and that put it right where I like to pick. Plus it accentuates the whole "Jaguar effect." but it looks like it could be moved forward 1/4 inch. Without the plate though, it looks WAY to far back. Looks really nice, though. Did you just use a standard jag pickguard?
The pickguard is one of those brown AVRI torts that typically come with white Jaguars. In person I thought it was ugly on top of the burst finish, so I sprayed a layer of maroon paint on top. Probably needs a clear coat to make it shiny.
