I know it looks like a coffee table, but the controls could be fun.

with only $2599.00 MSRP, I am sure people will be jumping all over this one. I don't mean to sound pissy, but Gibson has just been pissing me off for quite awhile with what they release, the swirl Les Pauls and the Firebird X are just the latest icing on the cake.

You can buy the old ones for way less than that.

Whoa...they reissued it. The originals had special pickups, made by bill lawrence i believe. I wanted one for a while.

I think the whole thing was designed by bill lawrence. As always, jcyphe is right, I'm seeing them pretty cheap on the 'bay even if some of them are project guitars. I'm also surprised they reissued it, maybe there will be some more of those L series coming out. I've always been interested in that studio les pauls they made with the gaudy gold hardware, I think it was called the L5s or something but I recall there being like multiple models with that name.

Looks a bit like black socks on pasty legs.

I think they're pretty desperate to get guitars out at the moment that don't necessarily demand rosewood... seeing as their rosewood has been seized. This is one of them.

I kinda like this one though, and also the new Pelham blue Jr is awesome.

I also like the RDs.... but you got to be mad to buy new at the moment. Everything is extortionately priced.

Clearly they need to market them like they used to.

That would look better if they took off the black face and tinted it slightly, like an old Tele.

The only maple necked Gibson I crave is a Grabber bass.
