squier jazzmaster with built in fuzz +boost(Now with video )
I bought a squier jazzmaster with the intention of doing some mods, add a trem change pickups etc... but ive decided i will build a jazzmaster from parts instead of changing this one.
so now ive got this
i am going to find another widerange for the neck, get some 1 megs pots and my other idea is to put a pedal into the lower cavity.
i was thinking a danelectro french toast, as i love the pedal and its probly small enough to fit in.I already have one on my pedal board but i dont really want to hack that up so ill try to find another one cheap.
Or the other option would be a fuzz face clone or something(i just want a simple fuzz small enough to fit in)
my question is how hard would it be to wire in the pedal to the guitar circuit? i will have all the pedal controls on the lower horn.
Is it only a matter of changing the input/ouputs and maybe the on/off switch?
has anyone done this with another pedal? wiring diagrams that would help
thanks heaps.

You need a dpdt toggle switch to engage the fuzz. Have you ever built any pedals before? I'd suggest a DAM Meathead or Colorsound One Knob clone. They are easy builds on vero or perf. You'd be best off routing for a 9v battery compartment that pops easily. Use a stereo jack so when the guitar is unplugged it will not drain the battery. I can draw you up something if you'd like a pic.

does anyone know how big the board is from the behringer super fuzz?
if you could draw me a diagram showing how to wire up a super fuzz maybe? that would be much appreciated.
and serfx, hopefully i can get it working right cause im thinking itll be pretty cool also.IVe alsways wanted to do it but didnt want to route a guitar and these just have that massive route waiting to be used

I believe Ends did this on his Jaguar with Jazzmaster pickups. He put the effect in the rhythm circuit.

Cheers everyone for thier replies, ive managed to get a guy locally to do it, he makes pedals and said it would be a good challenge for him to put one in a guitar. he said hed wire it in all i have to do is wire the guitar.
ill post pics of the updates when they happen.
As of now it looks like this, i got rid of the dual pots as they were crap and ive changed the bridge pup to a widerange for now the neck one can stay, sound wise its fine but very noisy, ill probly try and cut a new guard at some point aswell probly in black.
I also moved the 3 way switch to between the vol/tone and changed to a mini toggle, that way i have all the top route to put something in aswell.
im hopefully taking the guitar this weekend for him to look at so we can figure out what we can cram in there

The guitar is finished, i dropped it off last weekend and it was finished by monday arvo but i havent had a chance to pick it up.
i am going tomorrow morning to get it and do a demo vid aswell.
top horn has a mosfet clean boost, bottom route has a modified big muff, and a switch to set it to either boost into muff, or muff into boost.
the only thing i need to do is change the vol/tone knobs to some white ones.
oh and it has a widerange in the bridge, stock neck pickup
