A lot of Fender stockists are doing the rebate... not just GAK.

Ooh, what's the reason? Are prices about to go up or something?

Not sure, I just think rather than bring the prices down slightly they're doing these offers to tempt people. I think they're just eager to makes sales at the moment. It means you need to buy stock to be able to offer these deals. Fender win both ways... more shops buy stock, more customers buy fender products.

There's the Fender money back but there's also years supply (12 packs) of strings with any american standard, and if you buy a hotrod you get a cool bag and pedal tuner.

Probably poor sales and pre-christmas panic, nobody wants to be left with a shitload of stock come january.
