Zoom PD-01. Can be found cheap on eBay, and I'm sure a lot of folk here have used them at some point.

It's my main overdrive at the moment, with a Big Muff for solos, and it works well.

I love an OCD !!! but I still think that can sound a bit boxy and could lack a little clarity, especially if you find a TS9 boxy. But with gain on minimum and treble cranked you may like.

It seems to me the TS9 would be a perfect option lol. It can be honky though I agree.

I would suggest a Klon, Kalamazoo or Les Lius but they're all dead expensive.

Hows about a Danelectro Transparent Overdrive (Timmy clone) or perhaps a boost of some kind ?

Do you stick with the one sound ie. would this pedal be on all the time ?
