Fender Japan sweetly caresses Fender America, consensually.

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

Dunno, they look wrong as a four piece to me. Sorry Pat. So few of the songs benefit at all from a second guitar.

Really? Just the sound from the live shows in the In Utero era is so much better to me.

So much better. Kurt was freer to sing better and they sounded more dynamic.

Not seen that vid where he's on only on mic. Nice little treat, I think it worked great.

They need a double bound semi-hollow Bass VI, with blocks and binding and matching headstock and TORTTTT.

I'm a power trio elitist chaps, I can't help it. It's not even so much how it sounds - quite irrational I admit

I agree it doesn't look quite as awesome especially when they are on a huge arena type stage, but in general I'm pro-Pat.

His Jaguar was so much better sounding than those JapanStangs it isn't even funny.

Compare them clean intros. That Stang sounds like it's doing an BM rather than an JB.

I disagree, they both sound good, but different. It's a pot thing; I'm guessing the Jag is running with 1M pots and the Mustang 250k.

In the context of having 2 guitarists it works because their guitars sound different. I think it contributes to them having a bigger sound on the In Utero tour.

I see great value in the reissuing of a CIJ BASS SEX VI, and is probably the only guitar out there right now that I could actually justify adding to the collection...Maybe.

I must admit i prefer Fenders to stay more traditional looking on finishes. A Fender Cyclone Custom sold locally for a bargain £255 yesterday, but i just could'nt see past the quilted top on it. Mind you, the new CIC stuff looks like they have 50 coats of poly.

Some interesting models here though.
