Something tells me that he may have posted the $25 to create an auction of sorts. Chances are he wanted to wait a day or so to get any emails for more than the asking price.
I have made out pretty well on cl by making a "wanted" post. It's how I ended up getting my awesome Yamaha Combo Organ for $150.
