I dont know, I ready to just give up on being in a band. I'm only really a lead guitar player. I'm like the guy who frosts the cake, I cant really build a whole cake, and if I did it would be fucked up and abstract, and no one would like it but me, haha. I need a good partnership with someone who writes songs for me really enjoy making music, and I'm just so tired of trying to find and maintain that with someone. I'm just tired of dealing with Rock n roll "musicians" and I HATE singing in a band. I just want to be a joey santiago

I've always seen myself as a rhythm player and feel the same way, I don't feel a complete play and feel I need another guitar player to fill the gaps. its not right though as Keef says you don't walk in to a shop and ask for a lead or rhythm guitar do you?
I wish I was any of the pixies but as I don't really do single note stuff I've always felt mesmerized by joeylight rail coyote wrote:I just want to be a joey santiago
love the tunes btw, buying asap. don't give up, find someone to replace the devi chick, she isn't anything different and you can make it work if you want to. take the anger and turn it in to an energy to paraphrase john lydon.

I'm just so tired of trying to find the perfect match in a band. If I find something that cool, but I'm done searching. I really just want to spend some time in Norway working on a farm or brewery. I spent a lot of this summer over there and just completely fell in love. I was on a reality TV show, and I guess I was a big favorite on it! I dont think I'd have too hard of a time finding people to make music with, and they'd probably be a lot less egotistical that the crazies I've dealt with here, haha, or at least excited to make music with me. May be the next band I'm in will be Norsk black metal. I'll play Metal on a jaguar!

I've never even considered that people like this exist. I've always been a songwriter type, don't care about those little details, don't care about the frosting, just want to make a good cake, simple guitar parts or whatever to make a good overall song.light rail coyote wrote:I dont know, I ready to just give up on being in a band. I've never even considered that the reverse exists, but I do guess that's what makes a real lead guitarist.
Do some solo recording a la Satriani or Vai?

While I appreciate why you're angry and will always back an ss'er over some inter webs famous pedal maker, I really don't feel this statement is ok. Not so much the Ugly pig part, just the "billy was right" part.light rail coyote wrote:and yes, Billy was right, Devi is an ugly pig. She really is.
Billy was not right, Billy proved himself to be a transphobic bigot. Lending any credence to his horrible statements look bad on you and this community.
Thinking Devi is ugly is a matter of personal opinion and is fine. Thinking she is a bitch for fucking you and the band over is pretty universally agreeable. But giving Billy a pass on being a bigot because you feel personally slighted is not ok in my book. And makes us look pretty hypocritical as a community considering the way we pounced on him for his statements.
Fuck Devi, but fuck Billy harder.
