Hmmm, kind of what I was thinking I guess. I terms of the wood, I think Epi's are put together well (I have a theory that as they make so few lefties, the build quality tends to be a little better), it's just the wiring that you need to rip out and start over (and get the thing set up of course). I assume it's going to b a similar situation with one of these cheap as chips Gretch guitars.
Actually I own a righty version of that very guitar, and I'd have to say that for the money, it's really well put together. The electronics are a bit weak, especially the pickup switch feels like a toy. But for that kind of money I almost always expect to have to have to do a little work in that dept. Not a bad buy, and personally I'd choose it over an Epi of similar features/price point.
